First post...

For my first post I thought I would let you all know about a free event that's going on tomorrow in Chicago. There will be a read out celebrating Banned Books Week at Pioneer Court (or, the plaza area right by Tribune Tower on Michigan Avenue) sponsored by the McCormick Freedom Museum and the American Library Association. The event starts at noon and goes until 4pm and will feature readings from banned books; banned and challenged authors will be in attendance to sign books. More information can be found here. Ric and I stumbled upon the read-out last year and really enjoyed ourselves. They had lots of free information as well as "I read banned books" buttons. Plus, with your banned book button you could visit the McCormick Freedom Museum for free during the event. I'm not sure if they will continue this for this year's celebration but if they do it is worth a look.

After the read-out, I also suggest you check out this event. It is also free and very fun!
